Windows XP Mouse Not Working

    Windows XP When I turn on Computer Mouse Lights Up Red like it is working, When Windows Starts Up
    Mouse Light Goes Off And is not working. Results cant use Computer, Cannot navigate to start button or anything.

    If the mouse is battery powered replace the battery(ies).

    The Mouse is not run by Batteries. Powered by the computer.

    First thing to do would be to try another mouse to see if your mouse is faulty, or if there's something else going on. A mouse is very cheap and easy to change.

    Are your mice all connecting through USB or PS/2?
