I have a Dell with windows XP. I did the latest windows update and opted to restart my computer later. I was working on a document when my computer suddenly started to shut down. When it rebooted it got to the Dell Screen and then the Windows screen that has the horizontal moving bar but it never gets to the XP screen to allow me to log on. Instead, after the windows screen it will go back to the Dell screen and the process will start all over. I tried starting in Safe mode but it continues. Any ideas?

Use Last Known Good Configuration and see if that will get you in. If not, then use the repair function that is on your Windows XP CD or System Restore CD.

you dont need to log in to repair the XP.

just put the CD into the drive.

and press the apopriate key when asked.

the repair is explained in the rar file.

    Code:
