here is my setup

2 hard disks (one for storage, one for OS)

the hard disk for my storage is split into two partitions.

I recently upgraded my OS to windows XP and my storage hard disk could not be read at all. I then upgraded to SP2 and upon restart XP did a disk check on the drive. Suddenly one of the partitions was readable but the other still "corrupt". I have checked with some recovery software and all of my information is still there, I just am unable to get to it. In the windows disk managment window it shows the partition as empty and RAW. Any ideas would be great! thank you.

What are you trying to do? I will assume you just want to get your information back. I don't know if this will work, but have you tried using a partion program? Maybe changing the partitions a bit will work.
What I would do though is get a live CD of Linux, boot into Linux and copy your files that way. Once you have copied your data, reformat the disk.
