windows xp slow runing + NT authority shuts system down

Help, when I log on my computer, it is slow runing, connecting to internet my speed is 14 kbps. After connecting to internet I get a message saying "NT Authority is shutting down my computer system.

I have norton virus professinal installed. When I log off, computer shows 1 program still running even through I have logged off all program. What am I to do????

The "NT Authority" message is from windows and it is shutting down because
it is an unpatched OS and something is trying to exploit the RPC vulnerability
in Windows.
You probably are infected by the blaster virus. There is a fix tool
from Symantec for blaster.

You need to
1)run the fix tool,
2)Run Windows update
3)run live update in Symantec/Norton to get the latest virus definitions.

when u get this message, do u see some error sayin u have 30 secs to save ur work or windows will whut down?

if yes, u have been infected by w32.blaster worm. herez the remedy towards the cleanup.

follow thses instructions:

and download this patch. then visit the link below and download the other patch which will be needed.
