Help!!

When my computer starts up it goes through the process until the Windows XP Screen comes on then I get a blank screen for 1-2 minutes then it launches to my desktop. I have run Norton etc. and still I am getting the same thing.

Any ideas. Should I get window washer etc.?

Check msconfig for programs starting up that are not necessary.

Good Morning,

I did look at the msconfig, but what would I be looking for in the start-up section?
Thanks

any program that you do not want to run at startup . . I limit the start-up items to Antivirus and scanner monitor. One startup trouble shooting method is to uncheck everything, and restart . . then check one item at a time to see which is the trouble-maker.
