For some reason, my computer decides to not let me click on the Taskbar/start menu/system tray area... It stays updated, with whatever I open, but I just can't click on anything. Or I should say, clicking has no effect. Right OR Left.
This seems to come and go with restarts. But not every restart... more randomly.
I am running Windows XP with SP2.

Please help! This is really getting old!

Thanks.

It wouldn't be windows if it didn't get old at least once daily!;)

Have you tried duplicating the problem in safe mode? It may be that some application that loads on startup is kind of "half crashing" or conflicting with another program.
I would try it in safe mode and see if you are able to access the functions you speak of. If you have no problems in safe, you can try rebooting in regular mode and using ctrl alt del to bring up task manager. Then start quitting unnecessary applications until you get control of the lower part of your desktop back.
