Windows XP User With a "Failed to set Data for 'CPL Top'" Error on logout

A close friend and his wife are having a problem, and I being not that familiar with XP was hoping you could help.

They have I believe 5 profiles on their computer that seem to work properly, with the exception of an error they all get on logout:

Error: Failed to set Data for 'CPL Top'

To me it sounds like a system resource registry setting missing its required setting, like a field parameter in a document.

Could you please help me.

Hi and welcome. Seems to be related to the control panel, but I can't find any information on it.

EDIT: Found this info for Windows ME, am wondering if following the renaming instructions might fix it?
