I installed XP about two months ago and am very happy with it because I can acturally keep my PC running for more than two hours without a blue screen. A Windows 98 Backup file was created when I installed XP. Can I delete this file to use the hard drive for other things? I think all this is used for is if I want to revert back to Windows 98 which I don't.

Sure. But to be safe use Windows Explorer to delete it and let is stay in the Re-cycle bin for 1-2 days before emptying it.
