OK Here is what Happened. I have an HP omni-notebook. (No restoration disk). I am running Windows98 on it. The other day all I did was set my computer to the side ( lightly), and it shut down. I figured the battery was low or something and I just turned it back on. Well since this happened it gets to the Windows98 startup scrren and freezes. No error messages pop up or anything. I can only sometimes get it loaded into Safe mode. But once there I am not sure what to do because I have no error message to work with. Also once I did get it to load into normal mode by using step-by-step conf. But it wouldn't let me set the display to any higher then 16 colors and 640X480. So I atemted to reboot it and can't get back there. Please do help me. I need my computer back up a.s.a.p. Thank you very much.
