I have been using WinFax Pro for many years and currently have version 10.02 which I thought was the latest release.

Last week, I encountered some problem (not WinFax related) and the error message said that whatever I was running was only compatible with WinFax 10.03 and later.

Symantec has discontinued WinFax and it's support so I cannot tell if there is really a version 10.03 or later. If there is, how could it be obtained now?

    Thanks

The message you mentioned - what software produced it?

I don't remember now. Reinstalled WinFax and am hoping it will work next time I need it. If not, there is a freeware program (MightyFAX) that doesn't look too bad. My needs are simple and I think it will work OK.

yes version 10.03 exists. You can determine the version you have installed by clicking Help, and About. Symantec has discontinued WinFax so you cannot obtain any upgrades to 10.03 from them. It has to be purchased somewhere else, usually clearance sale or on-line.

there are many third-party software products that will not properly function with version 10.02 because of a bug in this version (it was fixed in 10.03) you can also use 10.0 or 10.01 these will work. The bug only existed in 10.02. For more details see http://www.getfaxing.com
