    Hiya

Have you got an uptodate server list? If you're not sure, go to the OpenNap options, click on Find .WSX and look for the latest version. Its only a small file.

Now, click on the Import .WSX, locate where you downlaoded to, usually My Music, or whereever the Default folder for your downloads are.

Now, a list will apear, in red. This means that they're all offline.

Its best to just search in the one OpenNap at any one time.

So, click on the first, or expand it with the +
Click Connect, and wait to see if it connects. Don't be dismayed if it doesn't, just wait for all the others to have a go, then move onto the next ones.

Make sure that you Disconnect the WinMX Peer Network in the Main page, before you try and connect to OpenNap.

Then, when you eventually get connected, you can search as normal. OpenNap is for accessing people on Morpheus, etc..

If you get stuck, don't hesitate in asking.

    Regards

    eddie

    everything went fine. thanks.

what is the significance of the 'add', 'edit' and 'remove' buttons? i looked in there, but am still unsure what it means. and the significance of the export.wsx?

thanks for your help. it was easier than i thought.

The Add button, is if you want to manually enter your own OpenNap server, if you know of one.

For instance, click on one of the servers, or expand the +, then click on one. Click Edit, and you will see what I mean.

The Remove, is if you want to remove certain ones from the list. Some people only want a few servers.

Also, the Export list, is if you want to export it to your PC, then incase anyone want to download it from you, you can set it to share. When its 12am here, its still 8pm somewhere else. That way, you can sometimes get ahead.

I'm joing another forum dedicated to WinMX tomorrow. Should get some good stuff, and more tweaks there.

You can also find a list of servers on www.napigator.com/servers this is an up to date list of servers, it makes it a bit easier to choose which networks you connect to
