I've a Winstar a27jb docking station but I've lost the USB cable. Which do I need? Should it be male to male or male to female? Is a type A,B or C?

    Hi and welcome to TSG.

I can't find anything online about that dock, please post a picture of the Usb socket on it or a link to a webpage that shows it.

It looks the same as this one and is about 10 years old. The socket on it is the standard old original USB socket so I need a cable to plug into that socket on the staion and into my computer socket. So, it's either male to male or male to female. Not sure which.

If you need to use the socket on the back labelled USB it looks like a Mini B 5 pin as shown here :-

The 2 USB sockets on the front look like type A female so you would need a USB 2.0 type A male at that end.

The other end needs to match whatever type you have on the computer, probably the same as those 2 on the front.
