Hi, new to this site but it looks great! I run Windows 2000 and whe I open Word 2000, I get the message 'Winword as generated errors and will be closed.' I have done everything the Microsoft site suggests and still does not work? Any suggestions?

Hi, I did everything you suggested on the site including eraser and reinstall and it immediately gave me the error again. Could my Office CD be bad? When I went to change the normal.dot file there wasn't any file by that name. Could that be the problem? Aaaaaa!

    Sure could.

You're not viewing hidden files in XP. I apologize--I really need to change the instructions...

    All programs closed.
    Open Windows Explorer.
    Tools-Folder options.
    View tab.
Make the settings so you can view hidden and system files.
You should then be able to search/find normal.dot.
Changing those d*** instructions right now.
