i have a sony vaio pcg-fx215 which came preloaded with win ME.
i upgraded to win XP. XP created a partition on my hdd, and it seems that it doesn't use the "C" drive anymore for windows. (i think...) Do i need what is stored on the C drive or is there a way i can delete whatever is not needed to free up some space?

    hey, $teve,

It seems that the os is on the D drive (created during upgrade), and as far as i can tell, what's left on C drive is what is left over from win ME. It doesn't seem like i can delete any of it either.
What i am really looking for is running the os on one drive without a partition. the hdd is a little less than 10gb, but what is on C takes up about 3.5gb.

    thanks.

    andy
