How do I use winzip? I have some music files that I want to save to a disk because I am planning on switching my OS. I've downloaded it and I think I have zipped my files, but I'm not sure. Please help!

There are a few ways to actually zip files but I find the easiest is to highlight the files you want to include in the zip file (either in My Computer or Windows Explorer), right-click and choose Add to Zip... Enter the path and name you would like for the zip file, change any of the other settings if you would like and create it. If it was successful, you will see the zip file located in the path you specified.

similar to graphic files, you'll see very little compression when you zip an mp3 or other music file - just isn't much spare room in the file structure to do much

ie i just zipped a 1071 kb mp3 file - all the way down to 1031 kb :)
