Hello, I have a Linksys router and Everything is connected right, but if I don't have my wireless adapter in, I can't get any response from the network. There's no other computers I can test anything but when I troubleshoot the issue it says "you may not have a internet adapter" or something like that, I can't remember and it won't come up while the net is activated... Please help.

What do you have in Device Manager under Network Adapters?

Any warnings or errors in Device Manager? If so, please give details.

Do you have an ethernet (LAN) connection is Network Connections? If so, is it enabled?

My device manager doesnt list any network adapters unless my wireless adapter is plugged in. But i gave that to my room mate so now im wireless on my dsi. My room mate doesnt have an ethernet port cause hes a little on the idiotic side. :) also, no theres no lan connection in my network connections. i dont know why, i havent used the computer for two weeks under speculation it was broken (2 loose wires, thats all) and when i turn it back on, its like my network adapter is gone along with my keyboard and mouse drivers!

Thanks for asking those needed questions to expand everyones knowledge of my situation, and i hope i can fix it soon without buying a whole new OS

Download from your PC (or motherboard) manufacturer's web site and install your chipset and networking drivers, If no ethernet adapter makes an appearance you have hardware issues.
