I have an Acer Aspire 5532 and the wireless adapter can see the available wireless signals but it won't connect to my wireless network. Any suggestions?

For testing, remove the Wi-Fi password in your router settings and try first. Then re-instate your Wi-Fi password after the test.

The Acer Aspire 5532 appears to be a 9 years old model laptop which came with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit/64-bit.
It appears to have an Atheros or Broadcom or Intel wireless device.
What's the exact SNID number on yours?
Which Windows version and bit number is it running?
What did you do to it before it started having a wireless connection issue?

I'm away from the laptop now but it is running a Broadcom wireless N adapter. It got Windows 10 for an OS. I'm doing this for friend so its not mine.

If you don't have possession of your friend's laptop and it's at another location, it's going to be difficult and time-consuming to help him/her.

You answered my 2nd question in post #3, but you didn't answer my 1st and 3rd questions.
