If the router is plugged into a surge protector or power strip try with it plugged directly into an outlet (or a new power strip or surge protector).

Next, consider whether anything (for example, refrigerator or air conditioner starting) could be very temporarily causing a power "brown out." A router's wireless signal would probably be the first thing to suffer from such a power reduction.
