a wireless card or a usb wireless adapter
Please provide a link to it if possible or the full make and model details

It is easier to read like this - rather than like this
3. This

1. I am sorry I have bad eyes, well part of the problem is solved it was a blue dot wi fi adapter, and it will not work on winxp.
2.Can you please tell me what to install for Audio Device on High Defintion Audio Bus, The details under devise manager has this HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VIN_7680&SUBSYS_107B5048&REV,Any help would be appreciated,Thank you in advance
When you did a clean install of Windows XP Professional, did it include Service Pack 3?
If SP3 has not been installed, some drivers won't install or work properly.
it was a blue dot wi fi adapter, and it will not work on winxp
That is all the numbers I can find,Thank you so much for your time and trouble,I am at this time downloading service pack 3,again Thank you so much....Kenjmor
Pleased the wireless adapter problem is solved, even if only by you finding that it would not work on XP.
My good colleague Flavallee will I am sure sort the audio problem for you
Go HERE, then select "United States", then select "Drivers & Downloads".
Click "Search By Product Model", then type in E-4500S, then click "Search".
When the list of drivers appears, make sure that "Windows XP 32-bit" is selected for the operating system.
Download and save the top-most Sigmatel audio and Intel chipset drivers.
Install the Intel chipset driver first, then restart that Gateway before installing the Sigmatel audio driver.
Is the display device(Intel or NVIDIA?) and ethernet device in that Gateway working okay?
I am at this time downloading service pack 3,again
The 316 MB-size Service Pack 3 upgrade was released in 2008, so even after you install it, that Gateway will still be over 8 years out of date.
But without the SP3 upgrade installed, most programs and devices won't install or work properly.
Nacboatmaster I maked the problem solved I have the desktop working now,I appreciate all of you,Thanks...Ken
