I have a laptop that can see some wireless networks but not others. I verified that the missing SSIDS are being broadcast and can be seen and connected to by other laptops with the samc setup in the same area.

I updated the drivers, uninstalled the Wireless Adapter from Device Manager and rebooted. It found the card but still not picking up a couple of SSIDs that I should be seeing.

I also updated Chipset and flashed the BIOS to no avail. The card itself seems to be fine as it can connect to other wireless networks.

    Any ideas?

Could it be that some access points are only running on 2.4 or 5.0 GHz and the WiFi adapter is only running on the other frequency and not seeing them?

That wireless card might simply be less sensitive than those in the other laptops.

Or the wireless networks are too far away. Since you said "Networks" I am assuming you mean other peoples networks... in that case don't worry about it.
