Wireless Network Found

    My laptop gives a message when I boot up that there are wireless networks detected. But when I try to lcoate and log on, windows say no wirless networks detected. What's up?

    the wireless networks might be very weak, and so may exist but may disappear when the computer tries to actually connect to it. IT has happened to me before. Any ideas how strong the connections are?

    Another way to sometimes get that message about a "phantom" network is if you have a profile defined for an an-hoc wireless network.
