I have a wireless network set up at home with a Linksys RangePlus router that I have been using, which has been working fine with my old HP computers, Macs, ipads, and ipods.

I just bought a new Samsung laptop, and when I try to connect to it using the Samsung, it shows that I'm connected to the wireless network, but I have limited connectivity, and I can't connect to the internet. When this happens, I also lose my internet connection with my other devices. I get the internet connection back only if I stop trying to connect with my new Samsung.

I tried connecting to the router with an Ethernet cable, and it works fine with no problems.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

    Thanks.

can we see an ipconfig /all

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ipconfig /all

If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply
Note: you will see entries named Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: we dont need to see that information - JUST the infomation above those entries

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

    For Windows 8
To open a Cmd Prompt or an Administrator Cmd prompt from the Desktop. Use Win + X and choose Command Prompt or Command Prompt (Admin) from the list.

For windows version, XP, Vista, W7
Hold the Windows key and press R

    Now type CMD

Now press Enter to open a command prompt box (A new dialogue box - black with white font, will appear on screen ):

In the command prompt window that opens, type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

    ipconfig /all > network.txt & network.txt

It will export the results into notepad and then automatically open the notepad and display on your screen.

Now all you need to do is copy and paste those results into a reply here
    to do that:
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Select all
all the text will now be highlighted
    Next
From the notepad menu - choose Edit - Copy

Now go back to the forum - goto the reply and then right click in the reply box and paste the results.
The results from the notepad should now appear in the forum reply.

Yes, it was connected to the wireless network, but it said it was limited access.

    windows 8

    Samsung ATIV book 9 plus

I took it to the store earlier and they checked the driver and said it was up to date.

Yes, it worked fine on the wireless network in the store, so they couldn't figure out what was wrong.

you could try removing the security on the wireless router and see if it still knocks all other devices off

also we could try a fixed IP address on the wireless and see if that connects without issues

I already turned off the SPI firewall protection and all the internet filters. The VPN passthroughs are all enabled (I don't know what those are, it was the default settings).

How di I try a fixed IP address?

So before I set the fixed IP address, I'm not sure what was different, but I was able to connect to google.com for a few seconds before I lost the connection again. But this time, my other devices did not lose the internet connection.... weird. Here is the ipconfig /all when that happened:
