I am looking for current recommendations for home security (exterior) with night vision and motion activated purposes. I don't know terminology and quite limited in current technology technology. The home is very old and I wonder about how to anchor as well as hide the cameras.

Why would you hide the cameras? Their visibility is one of their main security features. Besides, there is no way to hide the actual lens.

Most commercial home security cam systems have IR LED's for the dark.
