OKay...I'm pretty darned literate when it comes to wired networks. But wireless.... that's another ball park!
I've got a home network with 4 machines, here that share a cable connection. I'm using a Belking router. Can I add a wireless access point to my existing wired router? And still be using my Belkin router. Was looking at this one... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=602205&Tab=1&NoMapp=0
Or will it handle more than 4 machines and I could just switch to it for my wired machines, and the wireless point for the other one that I want to add, and the one that I want to convert to wireless also?? And pack up the Belkin!
Does this make ANY sense!!

    Either/OR really...

Most routers have an "Access point mode" so if the computers are already on a router, it will just pretent to be an access point without any router/DHCP/gateway conficts.

In your case I would probably just pick up a nice Linksys or Buffalo Technologies wireless router and plug my hardwired machines into it.

All wiress Routers I have seen have 4 ports and an uplink in the back. that should suit your purposes just fine it seems to me.

Another option is to just add a WAP, like you said.

I like these...and for under 60 bucks shipped you can't go wrong.

Pretty much what I thought, after doing a bit of reading. At this point, I'll probably just go with the USR wireless router, as it's 30 bucks after rebates!
    Thank you! JustMe2
