I am getting free wireless from a resturant 2 blocks away from my home, but the strengh level is only 2 bars out of 5.

is there a way to set up an antenna on that side of my> house (right now my office is located in the middle of my house) and repeat/bounce the signal to and from my desktop computer??

Many restaurants provide free Wi-Fi for their patrons. I know of none that provide free service for somebody two blocks away. If this is an exception please PM me a link to the "resturant's" terms of service. This thread is closed.

In private communication miraclemant has informed me that the manager of the restaurant in question (a McDonald's) "had no problem with area neighbors who received it, using it." I see nothing in McDonald's online information about their Wi-Fi service to disagree, so I have re-opened the thread. Of course, additional information could change things again.

Quite frankly, I really doubt McDonald's is all that happy to provide the area residents with WiFi, but in the absence of a hard and fast policy...
