Right now I have a D-Link WBR-1310, 802-11g , 54mbps. router. I have one computer hard wired to it. My second computer has a NetGear WG111 Adapter which is 54mbps. Would I notice a speed increase if I went to a 108mbps. router and adapter?

If you're talking about Internet connection speeds, no. If you're talking about file sharing, you may notice some speed increase, but don't expect a 2:1 speed increase.
