    Hello,

I have 600 Latitude 2100 Netbooks that I need to configure with the same wireless password. In the past, I have copied the wireless network profile to a USB drive and inserted it into each machine and ran the setupSNK file to add the machine to the network. However, that was for 20 machines, I now have to configure 600 machines with the same wireless password and was wondering if there was an easier way. The access point to computer ratio is is 1:10. I have also tried using Altiris to deploy the setupSNK.exe file automatedly to each machine but I have not had any success. Re-imaging the machines is not option because sysprep clears off all network information. Thanks for your help.

I assume this is in a campus/enterprise type environment.

Having a single preshared passphrase for 600+ wireless clients is just plain bad practice from both a management/scalability aspect and from a security one.

The better method is using one of three available options: 1) 802.1x with AES Enterprise encryption, 2) captive portal, or 3) a NAC solution.
