    hi there,

i have a netgear cable wireless router(on the second floor) and am thinking of getting Hauppauge MediaMVP (which will b on the ground floor) the problem is that this requires a hard wire connection to the network (no wireless capabilities).

so the quesition is; how can i turn/use the wireless connection into a wired one so i can plug in this device into the network?

    thanks :)

    Thanks for this.
btw wats the difference between a Repeater and a Bridge? (while having a conversation wit a friend re. boosting wireless range/strenght he mentions using a repeater to strenghten the signal). will this boost/streghten that?
(else im just going to buy a 802.11g 108mbps wireless/routers, currently on 802.11b)

    thanks

The WEB, also sometimes called a Media converter, is just that part that connects an ethernet equipped computer to a wireless network; it's not going to do any signal strengthing.
A wireless repeater won't do any bridging, it's just going to strenghten the wireless signal.
