I just installed RedHat Linux AS on a server that does not have access to hardwire networking, so i want to install a USB Wireless adapter to it.

I checked my inventory and found a Microsoft MN-510 USB Adapter and a NetGear WG111 USB Adapter. Does anybody know where I could find Linux drivers for one of these?

The NetGear WG111 V.2 will work with ndiswrapper. I don't think V.1 is very friendly with linux. Surprisingly, The V.2 worked out of the box with the sabayon mini livecd (have no idea how they managed this, but it works).

    # ndiswrapper -i netwg111.inf /*install the windows xp driver*/
    # ndiswrapper -l /*check if it is installed*/
    # modprobe ndiswrapper /*if works, you can see the light on*/
    # ndiswrapper -m /*boot it as a module*/
    # iwconfig wlan0 /*you can see some information about the setting*/
    # iwlist wlan0 scan /*you can see some information about your AP*/
    # iwconfig wlan0 essid ESSID key restricted XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    # dhcpclient wlan0
use "network-admin" to write the /etc/network/interfaces.

The MN-510 USB should work with the Prism2 driver.
