Hello all. I just got a new averatec 6200 series laptop, and I am having a little bit of trouble with the wireless function. I let windows take care of my wireless settings, and for some reason every once in a wile I will be kicked off my network and have to click connect again. My roommates do not have this problem, which leads me to think its not our network. This happens about every 15 minutes or so.
    Computer specs:
Windows home edition, service pack 1.
    Averatec 6200 2400+ athlon XP-m
    802.11g MiniPCI wireless card
Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster
    firmware v2.07.1

I've seen this problem time and time again, but only with XP.. Which leads me to believe there is a bug in how XP handles wireless connections.

I too am aware of this, and there are no clear indications of why in my research on behalf of a colleague.

The network connections to XP do expire after 15 minutes of inactivity, so a bug is highly probable.
