So my dad recently purchased a new computer(Win764) and when I hooked it up to our E2500 router (a direct wired line) my wireless laptop (vista64) is unable to access the internet (it was fine before the new computer). I keep on getting "Unidentified Network (My router's SSID here)" however when I did manage to get the wifi to work on the laptop the new desktop would no longer have internet and a popup with "network ip conflict" would appear.

For both those PCs ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista or 7 type CMD in the Search box after Start)

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
