I switched to Firefox some weeks ago. Somewhere in the process, I seem to have lost the ability to view images on websites. NOt always, but often enough to be more than just an incovenience. Did I lose some Java - even though I don't really understand what Java is or how it works. What is the difference between Java and Javascript. I think one or the other has been disabled or even partially erased. Please help.

Go to "Tools > Options > Web Features" and make sure that Java and Javascript are enabled, and check the other boxes according to your preferences.

    Laura,

I had already checked to confirm that both Java and Javascript were enabled. Any other ideas?

Go to this site and see if you have java script enabled:

    http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm

If you don't you may need to go to Sun java and install the java plugin.

I had the same problem yesterday.

Go to Tools/Options/Web Features and uncheck the box that says For the originating website only.
