I have wmexe running constantly on my computer. Trying to weed out the things I do not need.
I know this is for a US Robotics modem. I have this modem installed, but we do not use it.
We use a DSL Intel modem for internet connection.
So is wmexe just left over from the old modem, or do I still need it to use the Internet?
Have read some other pages , but can't find an answer.
I will check back here, or email me at [email protected]

I think it's probably left over and you don't need it. But that's easy enought to test, just run msconfig and uncheck it under the startup tab.

You can see what this site says about it, but it probably doesn't apply if the modem isn't being used. You might want to leave it around anyway, just in case you have to go back to it.

Note: msconfig is not installed in Win95, but can be added.
