There is a lot about the new Windows Media Player (version 11) I like but I have come across a couple of major bugs and I'd like to know if others have had the same experience:

Major bug: "Auto play for DVD causes the program to freeze"

When you insert a DVD and the autoplay prompt appears, if you choose "play"
the program just freezes. You have to open WMP separately then select the DVD
from the play menu or from the options under the Library tab, then the video
    will play normally.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix?

Major: "Fast Forward" doesn't work in videos selected from My Library.

If you play a video from your library within WMP 11 the progress bar
doesn't work. You simply have to watch the video from beginning to end. If
you click on the progress bar, the video starts from the beginning.

This is a flaw in the player itself. If you go to the file location and
click on it, it plays normally...progress bar and all. You can fast forward,
advance to a particular point but only if you double click on the file
itself. Somehow this doesn't work if you select the file from within My

This is a major inconvenience. I hope somehow Microsoft is aware of this
and is working to fix it.

There must be others experiencing the lack of a progress bar for video files chosen from My Library! Pls check your WMP 11 installation and let me know. I bet it's happening on your computer as well. I've checked several computers where WMP 11 has been installed and this was the case on all of them.

Test yours: Double click a video file and then try to advance or fast forward. It will work fine. Then try selecting the same video from My Library within the player and it won't work.
