Anyone have an idea how to remove windows media player 9? Without using system restore. There must be a way to get rid of or go back to wmp8. Why I upgraded I dont know, windows update fooled me again. I should've done more research to see what a bad thing wmp9 really is. Thanks

My upgrade left an entry in add/remove programs, (Control Panel). I assume that this will either remove the program completely, or revert to the earlier player. Have a look there.

Edit. Oops, that entry was in my W98SE system. My XP home system does NOT have such an entry, (I have WMP9 on both)
MS say on the Readme for XP & ME that system restore is the only option.
