I`m unable to set a password on my USB drive connected to my Netgear WNDR3700 router. It used to work some years ago, but now when i tried it again it wont work. I tried several factory resets.

When i click on apply (see screenshot) nothing happens. im also unable to delete the network folder.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Make sure you have the latest firmware for the router and the latest version of the client software for the access to the usb drive

The netgear router has got the latest firnware ibstalled. What do you mean with the client software for the acces to the usb drive? The same usb drive has worked on the router with an older firmware.

Sorry I am just not familiar with your system, in my case I need client software installed on my computer to access and manage the usb storage connected to my router, it sounds like you don't, so just ignore my comment.
