Wont let me Restore!!!!

messing around with some other stuff I messed my system up pretty bad.. no biggie though I saved my importants on my external, just reformat reinstall whatever and all is good..

well.. I tried to run my toshiba recovery cd (the one that comes WITH my laptop) and I picked to erase the HDD and restore to factory settings and then I got this error:

ERROR: 20-0472-0000 Data Deletion Error

and it says to press OK to restart.. it wont let me recover, or restore or anything... please help!!

How did you reformat? And, what options did your Toshiba CD give, and is/was there a restore partition?

it gives me the options to either remove everything, partitions and all, to just do a restore, backup etc..

the thing is, I had another OS on it, and I some how messed up the partitions..right now the hdd SHOULD be blank..

plz help

Toshiba Recovery Wizard

- Recovery of Factory Default Software -> errors
- Erase the hard disk -> errors
System Recovery Options
-> searches for windows installation (but it doesnt find any)
- Startup Repair (doesnt do anything)
- System Restore (doesnt do anything)
- Windows complete pc restore (doesnt do anything)
- Windows memory diagnostic tool (doesnt pertain to what I need)
- Command Prompt
- Toshiba Recovery Wizard (links back to the wizard)
