When I create a new document in Word, the paper comes up as dark blue instead of white. It appears as if there is a very thin white line border around the dark blue. When I preview the document, the document is white. There are not any previous saved word documents under this program, where I can check the color of the sheet or background. Excel's new document appears white. Any ideas as to why the new sheet created in word is not white? Thanks!!

In Word, look at TOOLS | OPTIONS | "General" tab

Untick the "Blue background, white text" option.

Thats exactly what you would see with this option selected, very good description.
