Hi, not sure if this is a software or hardware issue. Installed MS Office 2010 onto a new HP Folio 13 laptop, but the cntrl + end and cntrl + home does nada. A real drag when needing to whizz to the end or start of a document. From a quick tour round various sites seems as if the short cuts are still valid so no idea why not working.

In case of use: A full product was installed from a disc onto a new hard drive. I don't do gaming or download much. Have anti virus software and have pretty simplistic demands of my laptop.

    Thanks.

Does shortcut fail with both left and right Ctrl keys? Does the shortcut work in WordPad? Do Home and End function in a browser session? Just trying to isolate problem to hardware or software.

Did the keys work B4 installing Office? Do other scrolling keys work Page Up/Down, Arrows? Did they ever work? If the answer to the last question is no or not sure and if your laptop is brand new, I suggest you return it to retailer for warranty maintenance. If you are sure they worked B4 installing Office, then try updating the keyboard drive as explained here:

    (from Microsoft Support)

Open Keyboard by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Keyboard.

Click the Hardware tab, find the keyboard you're using, and then double-click it.

Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.

If you are prompted to restart your computer, do so.
