    Hello All,

I'm having some issues with Microsoft Word. This started Wednesday, when I try to do anything in word the application freezes, in turn affects the computer by "freezing" it, and then I'm forced to shut down and reboot. Is this an update thing? I hope I don't have to reinstall Windows. Your advice is appreciated.

Which version of Word are you using, which OS are you running, and can you give us some hardware specs for your machine?

Have you applied any Microsoft Updates recently? Earlier this year an update went out for office. It caused a similar recation for our users. The solution was to remove the update using add/remove programs. If I were you I would open Add/Remove programs and see if any updates were applied around the time your computer started freezing like this.
