I need help with Microsoft Word 2003. I am working with form fields. When I type in a form field it moves my formatting around on the same line dropping it to the next line. I tried right click to make adjustments to the form field, with no avail, I have tried double clicking in the form field with no avail.

I know I am missing something, hopefully somebody here can help. Thanks in advance.

Please see attached screen shots of Right and Double Click form fields.

If you embed the form field into a small frame it won't shift.

I had just tried that and it created a whole mess. I took a snapshot of part of the document in question. When I double click in the field to type, it first shifts the next field to me then kicks it out to the right until it eventually drops to the next line.

Can you upload your sample document? I am unable to duplicate what are you describing when I create a new field that has been embedded into a frame. If you do not wish to post it online you can email to me at rollin_again at hotmail dot com.

I now see what you are talking about in regards to the text getting shifted around when you add the frame. What I suggested does work so it may just be easiest to recreate the entire document from scratch adding the new frames and text fields as you go.
