    Can anyone help I am creating a templet in word and need to create a merge field which equals todays date plus 44 days i.e If todays date = 20 Th July then the merge field should display 2nd September 2006.

    Welcome to the board, riddell.

    This has been covered here before (although good luck with finding it!)

    If it were me, I'd insert a link to a cell in an Excel file containing a formula such as =TODAY()+44.

    You could try some VBA, such as:

    Sub Date_44()
    Dim mBefore As Date
    mBefore = Format(DateAdd("d", 44, Date), "dd mmmm yyyy")
    Selection.InsertBefore mBefore
    End Sub
