Try again later. It's Word 365, web based. Somebody will notice it sooner or later. Or you can report it yourself.

Office 365 isn't web-based. It's a subscription service. Basic web based Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are free to anyone with a Microsoft account.

I think you mean you have Office 365. There's no Windows 16 or Windows 365.

Office 365 is a subscription which means the latest version and features are updated reguarly.

I think your Windows operating system is set for high contrast. Check your Windows display settings.

That's not the set of settings I was thinking of, but the screen shot confirms the color theme for Office is coming from your Windows display settings. They look the same.

Do you want to change your Windows theme? Because you can't just change Office from what seems to be a High Contrast setting.

Check the High Contrast settings.

What ever it takes to get my pages to open with a grey scale
I don't know what that means. I think we're misunderstanding each other.

It looks like Windows is set to use high contrast or some other dark theme. The Settings screen colors match the Office colors. I don't think there's a problem with Office. Check if high contrast is enabled. Click Start, and type high contrast.

How to enable/disable high contrast themes in Windows 10
  1. Go to the settings menu.
  2. In the search bar, type "high contrast settings" and click the first option.
  3. Click the slider to turn on/off high contrast.

Office365 is also web-based but doesn’t have all the features as their offline counterparts.
