Every time I open a document in WP 9, the open window always opens to default. Not where I opend it last. I want it to open where I opened my last document. How do I do that?

I have an earlier version of WordPerfect but I believe this is what it takes:

Use Save Workspace to save the document windows currently displayed on your screen.

    Steps:
Choose Preferences from the Edit menu, then double-click the Environment icon.
    Under Save Workspace, choose "Always"

I have never found that what you are asking for exactly is useful. I find that most of my current work starts from one folder which I set as the default folder on opening (although I always firget how to do that since I only change every 3 months or so). Anyway, for what it may be worth, in WP8, I set the default folder as follows:

    Tools
    Settings
    Files
    Document
    Default Document Folder

For the other, in WP 8, I think it would be:

    Tools
    Settings
    Environment
    Interface
    Menus
    Display Last Open Document

I think you may have to check Always under Save Workspace.
    Hope this helps someone.
    :)
