I have different students logging in on each PC. We have Win 2000 and Office Pro. Word sets "Author" as an attribute of each file the student saves. I would like to set UserName to %username% or %login% or $logname$ or something like that. The trouble now is User Information (name) stays set to whoever last set it by doing
    Tools Options User Information Name
    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    I've only got ONE suggestion.

Change it under User Info to "Satisfied Customer"

    He he... Just kidding there.

But put something like Student Name.

Then go to Tools-Options, Save tab. Checkmark "Prompt for Document Properties"

At least your users can then put their name in there.
