    one of my saved documents in Word prints the document and then spits out a blank sheet.

    i tried to use "shrink to fit" and word tells me that it tried but can't do it.

    am using xp and hp officejet 500.

    Open that particular document, go to View > Print Layout. Now, look on your toolbar that contains the open folder, save button, etc., there should be a paragraph sign (it sort of looks like a P) and click on that.

    Take a look at the bottom of the document and find out if there are paragraph signs that goes onto the next page. This could be reason why this document is spitting out an extra sheet. Just delete the extra paragraph signs and that should solve the problem. Let us know if this works.
