I am running WPv7.02.19 and have been for years. Today, when accessing the address book, my wp freezes and I can't get at the address book. I have run adaware, hijack this, etc. but nothing pops up. I need access to the address book - it is there in the Corel shared files, however..........!

Can you access the address book from the Start Menu without a crash? If so, export it to a safe location. If you cannot start the address book, copy your database directory (in the address book directory) to a safe location. Rather than doing a full uninstall/reinstall, just put the CD in and install. The WP7 installer will overwrite the registry settings and the program files.

I've tried both ways - overwrite and uninstall/install, No dice. However, the address book initial screen appears for an instant and that's it.

One more thought: Go to ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/70/ and download CLEANWP7.EXE. Run it. It will extract two files. Make sure they are both in the same directory. Run the exe file. It will delete most of the registry files (except those for customizations.) Then you can run the setup again.
