I have just spent four hours on a Wordpress blog posting. I accidentally published before revision.
I then stupidly Highlighted the published version and deleted, thinking that my original would be intact. Sadly, it was gone as well. Is there any hope of recovering what I deleted? Allan

I have my posting back in full. I had never used "Revisions" before, but I tried the last revision and it was there in full. Fortunately I must have done a "save draft"after I finished the draft. Problem solved. Allan

Thanks for posting back the solution which definitely could be helpful to others.

As a side note, future posts of this nature belong in the Web Design & Development forum so I've moved it there even though it's solved.

Your deleted one is still there. When you delete a post it only goes in the bin it does not get destroyed, it only goes completely if you delete it from the bin. If you look at the attached screenshot you will see that the Bin has one entry. Click on the word Bin and it will display all the posts in the bin. If you then hover over one of the items in the bin a new menu appears giving the option to restore it or delete it permanently. Screenshot 2019-05-04 at 07.15.35.png
