You seem to have a few domain hijackers. Check them all and fix.

Thanks Sinsation, but what does that mean exactly? This is my office computer here at work (The Dominion Group) so if I delete those will it affect this computer?

As told on a HJT tutorial site
Windows uses several registry values as a help to resolve doimain names into IP addresses. Hijacking these values can cause all programs that use the Internet to be redirected to other pages for seemingly unknown reasons. New versions of Lop.com use this method, together with a (huge) list of cryptic domains.
I've seen that you're supposed to fix all O17's but now that you say you work for a company that matches the addy in those, I'm not so sure. =/

Thanks Sinsation- I'd better not try those just yet. The comp seems to be working fine at the moment though so I should just cross my fingers then.(y)

O17 Domain Hijacking

It's hard to explain this one. I think the best advice is to look at the address first. If it's an odd name or you don't know what it is, put it in your browser. Then do a WhoIs search on it ... if it comes to an ISP or a company network then leave it.

Unforunately, AOL changes these on every sign on to its rubbish service - those with AOL will have to live with that.

Example:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\VxD\MSTCP: Domain = aoldsl.net
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = W21944.find-quick.com
O17 - HKLM\Software\..\Telephony: DomainName = W21944.find-quick.com
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{D196AB38-4D1F-45C1-9108-46D367F19F7E}: Domain = W21944.find-quick.com

Hi bk1968, and welcome to TSG.. :)

First of all, those 017 entries are good, so leave them. The DNS is your subnet IP address at work. (y)

If you ditch them then your LAN connection is likely to be toast. :D

BUT... you've got some stuff that definitely needs to go, so please could you run a new HJT! scan, close all browser windows, "check to fix" the following entries, and click Fix.

Then reboot and go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and remove My SearchBar.

Then if you could reboot once more and post a new HJT! log, just for a final once over.. (y)

You're welcome BK1968,

That's a clean log. :) (y)

You might want to use the immunize faeture in Spybot, in the future. It won't guarantee[/b] that you never get any more spy/adware, but it will certainly help a great deal.

Also update it regularly, usually once or twice a month.

If you keep an eye out here, it's almost always mentioned when all the various programs get an update.

Cheers

Liam
