Hi, hope you guys can help me out.

My issue is that whenever i log onto WoW, my latency is 2.5k or above and as soon as i enter anything, even just jumping around in the cities, i get Dc'ed.

First i thought it was a virus, so i cleaned out my computer and reinstalled everything. I haven't installed any ui mods or addons, fearing that it might have been those that caused the problems.

I'm playing on a laptop, which has a tendency to get pretty hot some times, but i've been playing on it every since i got it in November 06 and haven't really had problems before now.

    It's a 2 ghz core2duo, with 1 gb rams and a geforce go7600. I'm playing with a 20 mbit connection, and not on wireless.

What do i need to do? is it my router that is messing things up via a firewall or a port i need to open?

    any help is greatly appreciated

I had a similar problem. The way I fixed it was by updating all my driver. (For me it was the motherboard driver that fixed it) So I would assume it would probably be the same for you. Also what kind of internet do you have? If you dont have at least DSL speed connection odds are it isnt fast enough to run WoW. (Ex. Dialup, etc.)

Well mostly my internet is stable, has never been like this before. I have a 20 mbit dsl connection, which have worked just fine so far. Read a post on my internet providers website saying that other people have had the same problems with pings in games like WoW and CS, so it might just be a problem on their behalf.

I also read another post that said that when new patches are added it might cause some connection problems, and since patch 2.2 came out this wednesday that might be the issue.

Thanks for the help, i'll try updating all my drivers
